Iron is necessary for healthy growth in kids yet most kid’s vitamins do not include iron due to manufacturing limitations, despite so many pediatricians suggesting an iron-based supplement for many kids. The result is pediatricians ask for iron, yet most vitamins cannot support it safely and effectively. That’s why we created our Daily Iron+ to support kids nutrition with a safe and effective daily option.

Our Daily Iron+ includes a special form of carbonyl iron designed to be gentle on kids' stomachs while also tasting great. We then include Vitamin C since Vitamin C is known to enhance iron absorption. And as always, we balance this with zero sugar, artificial dyes, and gummy additives.

While technically feasible, iron is a unique active that we believe should be given separately. Certain actives (zinc, calcium, etc) can unintentionally inhibit the absorption of iron, which can lead to overall ineffectiveness. At the same time, iron can be potentially toxic in large amounts and should be handled with care and specificity so we created a standalone supplement to meet the needs of pediatricians and parents alike.

That’s why we designed our Daily Iron+ in shelf-stable amounts to safely and effectively support kids.

As with our other products, our Daily Iron+ is sweetened with zero added sugar. Rather it includes a blend of monk fruit extract — a superfruit sweeter than sugar for a taste kids love, — and mannitol, a sweetener also found in pumpkins and strawberries.

While every family has their own routine, we suggest parents give this about two hours after a meal or multivitamin that may include zinc or calcium. Please note that those two actives may temporarily inhibit the absorption so time can help maximize absorption. Our Daily Iron+ is designed for boys and girls starting at age 3 and up through teenage years, which is also when iron absorption can be particularly important. Since every child is different, please always consult your pediatrician to make sure this product is right for your child.

Yes, iron as a mineral can be toxic in large quantities and is a leading cause of poisoning in kids due to potential for toxicity. If you choose to personalize your child’s bottle (always with parental supervision), once your bottle is filled with vitamins, please use extra caution and always keep out of reach of children. Reminder that your bottle is not a toy and should never be treated as such.
